ICT
Me and technology go together like desert nomad and glamourous lifestyle of Hollywood. They just don't match :) Seriously, if there is anyone out there who has caused the vacuum-cleaner to broke down by just touching it, let me know. Then maybe, I don't feel myself so abnormal anymore :)
My experience using ICT is also quite poor. I can manage, but I believe I need to be better in order to be up-to-date teacher. Yes, I know how to use Skype and MSN; I have different accounts in social networks, like Facebook and Orkut; I have a blog; I do my everyday bussiness using Internet, like paying my bills and online-shopping. I know how to install some programms and how do download things. But that is pretty much all I can do, though using computer and internet in my daily life takes quite a big amount of my time. I also know how to use programms like Word and Powerpoint.
My expectations to this course are achevable. Firstly I would like to know how to design attractive worksheets and games beause I believe that properly designed worksheets can raise learners motivation. I guess I need to learn how to use Adobe Fireworks or smth like that to achieve it. I would also like to know about different web pages where designing games and worksheets would have been made easy for teachers. But most important is that I would like to know how to create video by myself.
I believe that nowadays technology influences us all, no matter if we want it or not. So it is better to know how to use it :)

Hello everyone!
Hello! Nice to meet you all. My name is Aire and I am a 23-years old student. I study in Haapsalu College of Tallinn University. During my schoolweek I live in Haapsalu, but my parents' home is near to our capital Tallinn. It is called Naage and it is a small village. We don't have very many residents there and nothing special rarely happens there, but it is still a good place to live, because we have so many beautiful places around us to visit.
One of the most famous tourist attractions is called Türisalu Cliff. Though nowadays it is more famous because its accidents that have happened there lately, it is still an amaizing place to visit.
Also we have quite many rivers around us, most famous of them is called Keila-Joa river. It flows trought the park and there is also a manor.
But the best thing about the place where I live is that there are miles and miles of white sandy beaches, perfect to sunbath and swim at summer and perfect to have a little walk at autumns and winters.
One of the most mystical thing around my village is the former Russian military base. The story tells that there are miles and miles of labyrinthines underground. There are also many caves in the cliff that are considered to be the "doors" to these labyrinthines.
I am fascinated about watching movies and cooking. I am quite good at the last mentioned. Also I like reading books and magazines and sewing and doing all sorts of handicraft. I used to like running, but lately I have been lazy. But I still enjoy walking the dog.
